Multimedia :: Realplayer 10 in DSL?
The RealPlayer version 10 that you can currently download
from www.real.com is a gtk2 app..
So, while it installs without issues, it won't play without
errors of missing libs..
Download the gtk2.dsl , install it, and run the
"Update to Gtk2" from menu..
I'm checking to see if we can make this an extension.
There IS a realplayer app available from Debian apt-get,
so my thoughts are that distribution should be OK.
Problem Solved..

I too had troulbe with realplayer 10, on an HD install, thats why I posted about my success with realplayer 8. As I posted on that thread, I read that there were issues with realplayer 10 for debian systems (there was no realplayer10.deb available). When I tried the installer, it told me I needed openmotif which I believe is the package that the installer is built with. If someone knows that realplayer10 is now available via apt-get then I'd like to know. Thanks
My mistake..sri..
I now cannot find a realplayer app in debian..
I either was using some unofficial repositories,
or my alien had converted the rpm to deb, and apt
was seeing it , and listing it in my search.
again, the realplayer10 works fine for me...
I installed to /opt/RealPlayer, and added it to my backup.
