Multimedia :: Graphic acceleration in DSl?

I am curious about finding how to istall if not 3D so at least 2D acceleration in DSL.
You need 2D accel. even if you would like to play video on full screen (I know,sometimes svgalib can handle this,but it is not very pleasant solution-no mouse,not usable on LCD, etc.).
I am using nvidia cards in both my PCs,so I will try this platform...
