Multimedia :: I need a playlist the easy way

Is there a way to automake the playlists as in amarok or winamp? Just grouping the artist together is a big help with a large collection.

I don't know what amarok is, but Xmms is pretty much the twin brother of winamp. You can arrange your list by title, filename, path+filename, or date, and then save that out as a playlist file.
If you're using mpg321/123 which uses a simple list of files for a playlist, you can use find to create it.
