Multimedia :: MyDSL ALSA Problem

Hello all, Im using DSL 1.2.1, booting from CD in a Laptop Compaq Presario R3000 Pentium 4.

I tried to instal the Alsa module with MyDSL. As in the instructions said, I started with the option dsl alsa, then I installed dsl-dpkg.dsl and gnu-utils.dsl and in the end the Alsa module.

Then nothing happend, so I went to the shell to run the install-alsa.

I've been using vector linux SOHO 5 and my sound card works perfectly there with ALSA. the module is snd-card-atiixp. So i tried here the modpreobe snd-card-atiixp or modpreobe snd-atiixp and it says that the module is not found.

my question is.. what should I do to install that module? is it possible to download it somewhere? why alsaconfig is not installed within the mysql Alsa module? Any advice or guide?
