Multimedia :: RealPlayer won't install...

That thread was about UNC's, and not UCI's - and also that unc's works only in frugals (you must've misinterpreted it).

For mplayer, you could try it, but I'm not sure if it comes with the realplayer codec... but it may be in some extension called something like codecpak.

Also, I'd suggest for you to test the playback on the standalone player first.

Latest mplayer-nogui supports (some) realaudio and realvideo codecs.

I've tested it with some videos that use the COOK audio codec and works fine.
