Multimedia :: xMMs CD

I'm beginning to suspect equipment as loaded DSL 2.0RC2 and vmms loads the audio CD and shows the playlist with music playing but no sound for it or any system alerts.
So seems the xmms problem goes away in 2.RC2
Haven't has sound through the external speakers since I got the DSL mini-ITX Barebones, added the CD, 512 Ram and DSL pendrive. Just beeps through the motherboard speaker.:(
