Good evening you Guys, I've worked with Windows about 10 years. Now I want to build up an DSL Fileserver with Samba. But I don't know how to install Samba to DSL and which Samba I need (Debian Sarge or Woody, or an completly other...). I hope you can help me... Thx SteffenIf you want to do a hard drive install then you can use my tutorial. I have been working on a frugal tutorial (for about 6 months), but I just can't seem to get too excited about it. Maybe if a bunch of people bugged me I might do it... Anyway, see if this helps:
Thanks for your document. I just wanted to get Windows to "see" the DSL box so that I could monitor its Folding@Home process, and it worked nicely Thx for your document. Changeing the smb.conf worked really fine, but When I type these commands in ATerminal(where is XTerminal?), it says "command not found". For sure I try the same as Superuser, but nothing changes. Plz help me;-) SteffenSorry, the newest DSLs have aterminal just type those commands in there. Also make sure that the samba.dsl is installed.Next Page...
