Networking :: WHOIS

It seems that DSL does not have a copy of WHOIS installed, and from looking on the forums there is not a MyDSL extension of it publicly available either.

Has anyone put one together that they are willing to share? as i don't think i'm quite upto making my own yet.

sudo su
apt-get install whois

or maybe it is listed in the Synaptic package manager?
