Networking :: netcardconfig problem

I installed HDD DSL 0.5.1
How can i make it remember my network setting?
I have to run netcardconfig every time when I boot.
I have already fixed ip(by running netcardconfig) but it did not work.
It's very annoying indeed.

Another question is i would like to modprobe sound module(opl3-sax) during boot process, where do i put it?

Same to me.
If I use dhcp,It's auto config the network!
But static,U have to run netcardconfig every time when boot.

I found a way to get around to problem.
edit
/etc/init.d/knoppix-autoconfig
search for DHCP
comment the whole script that has DHCP.
Now X windows will remember your fixed ip setting
