Networking :: working 16bit wlan card for old compaq contura 420

in a few days i will get a compaq contura 420c laptop on which i would like to install DSL (using poorman's method, no cdrom-drive available). so i need a working (w)lan card for that laptop but i don't know if it can handle 32bit cards. i do have a cisco aironet 340 card here (AIR-PCM340) and maybe it works. does anybody know which cards (wlan and lan, need both possibilites) do work a) under DSL and b) with the contura 420c?

Not sure if it'll take 32bit cards but I assume the 340 is a 16bit card as is the 350 so you ought to be fine with that.
