help i cant find my network places anywhere in dsl, please help

not sure what yoy are talking about. do you mean WIN network places? If so you need to check out forum entries concerning samba and smbclient. hope this is helpful........

samba.dsl from the MYDSL repository has a program called "LinNeighborhood" that might fit the build.

Otherwise, there is a text program called

smbtree

that you can type in from inside an Xterminal window
