Networking :: modem help
I don't see setserial in DSL, I've never had to use it for my modems.
Do you have the drivers for the modem?
If you do then maybe try this
mknod /dev/ttyS4 c 62 64
chmod a+rw /dev/ttyS4
ln -s /dev/ttyS4 /dev/modem
That will link the modem to /dev/ttyS4, I notice in my DSL there is no /dev/ttyS4
Then insmod the drivers and it should pick up the modem.

LAMEEER...it's winmodem !!!
Modrak, whether or not it's a Winmodem really is'nt the point.
If you had checked the link I posted, you would have seen that there are drivers listed for the Topic 560i and they list them for Linux as well as Windows.
Another site shows it as having a hardware chipset.
Either way, the idea here is to get the thing going if it's possible.
