Networking :: Nvidia network card drivers/installation
Since my comp uses Nvidia N force network connection and DSL doesn't recognize it I'm sort of dead in the water. No network connection. I have the linux driver from the Nvidia web site and I also have the network module itself separated out that I use in Puppy Linux. My question is which would work better in DSL and where would be the best place to install it so that it is in saved/persistant memory and loads on start up. Since I'm totallly new to DSL's file set up please keep instructions as clear and basic as possible. I'll probably use a USB stick to copy the files from so starting at mounting the drive/files and proceeding from there would be a good start.
Thanks,
Alice
There has been a lot of call for this lately since it seems like Nvidia network chips are popping up all over the place. The 2.4.31 kernel appears to support them. Anyway, maybe someone would be willing to make a .dsl or .uci of the nvidia drivers for the 2.4.26 kernel??
Get specific DSL version number 2.1b
It has the 2.4.31 linux kernel version.
