Networking :: Character WEP doesn't work, only numeric

Proxim 8470-FC using IWCONFIG to set the params.

At work, I use a Cisco 1231 AP with the WEP key set to all numbers. The wireless PC card works just fine with DSL.

At home, I use a Dell TrueMobile 2300 gateway, the WEP key is set to letters. When reconfigured with IWCONFIG, I can't EVER get a wireless connection.

Any thoughts?
