Networking :: modem problem

this my hardwore recognition on dsl2.4 does it identify my modem becouse the modem name is correct.if it is identyfied can you people help with pppdial configuration.....

you have a winmodem. DSL does recognise Lucent winmodems, but not conexant. you might try www.linuxant.com for your driver.

thanks torp for the link i downloaded the driver but i cant install it.thaey are in tar.gz format any help on istalling tham.

the few times i've used them i just unpacked them using emelFM and ran the executable. not real expereinced here....
