Networking :: Another samba question

Hey guys here is my problem:

I ahve set up my dsl server just how I want it, have a semi functioning samba server here is my samba.conf file:

[global]
workgroup = Rivett
server string = Samba Server
security = share

[netshare]
comment = Network file space
path = /home/dsl/mnt/BOX/netshare
read only = no
public = yes
writable = yes
guest ok = yes
security = share

But from my xp machines, its read only.

Any ideas?

Hi,

is your winxp firewall on?
is your 'netshare' repository writable (permissions?)?
have you set a samba user with passwd?

maybe a little googling before asking this in this forum? please, keep in mind that it is a forum related to problem occuring with DSL and networking, not to smb.conf file. Thanks much.
