Networking :: Dial-up cofiguration
Sometimes ISP's do have problems what is the recording saying if using a regular phone. I once thought that I messed up my connection when I changed the history setting in firefox but a few days later I got an email from the ISP saying their server had problems. Are you sure you put in the right phone number for you ISP?

Thanks for ur reply, I am using a Lucent internal Modem card connected to the PCI slot of my thin client and also using the proper ISP details.But again due to some thing I am really getting confused. As you told the modem is a Winmodem but while booting this modem is getting detected.(I can see the info display) whether this ensures that the modem has its driver installed??? or what I have to do for finding out the same(i.e., the driver is there or not).To install the driver what I have to do??.I will be the happiest person once I hear the dialling tone>>>
Thanks u2musicmike!!
Finally I have configured my modem and also established a dial-up connection with an ISP and its working fine.The problem that I was facing was not due to the driver(where the driver is already present for Lucent Winmodem) I was little bit confused with the Port that has to be mentioned in the dial-up config page.Finally I have mentioned the right serial comm port ttyS14.Now its working fine!!!. Now I am trying to include some java applications.......still I am wrking on that....
