Networking :: installing SMC2532w-b wireless pcmcia card

I've spent all afternoon trying to get this card working, but I am just not sure if I am doing it right. My approach:

Download Windows driver, burned to CD, copied smc2532w.inf and smc2532w.sys to /home/wireless directory, then:

su
ndiswrapper -i /home/wireless/smc2532w.inf
ndiswrapper -l

response is: hardware is NOT present
