Networking :: Telnet with Tor

Can anyone explain to me how I can get telnet to work with Tor?
I already tried to connect to my own computer with telnet, and then try the CONNECT command, but it didn't work.

Can anyone explain me how to get this to work?

NOTE: I'm trying to send fake emails to friends so I also want to hide my IP, so it isn't for anything illegal.
