Networking :: No network devices detected

I have DSL installed on a 128MB USB drive when I use it on my Dell Latitude 120L it doesn't detect either of my network cards I havea broadcom 44xx wired and 4318 wireless. can anyone help me out?

I was hoping someone with more knowledge about this sort of thing would help you out. Since no one has answered yet, I'll give it a try.

What types of devices are these? You say "cards". Are they both internal PCI cards?

Do they show up when you type, "lspci" at a command prompt? Also, are there any relevant messages when you type "dmesg"?

What are the model numbers for these cards? Or did they come with your computer?

Less relevant questions. What type of computer is it? Laptop or desktop?
