Networking :: netcard

I made a well hdd-installation, but my netcard will not be detected.

modprobe sk98lin shows:
Fatal: Failed to open config file /lib/modules/modprobe.conf: No such file

Please help me!

What is the brand and model number of your card?
Moving it to another slot, or just reseating it, might help.
Does your ethernet card lights blink or steady or off?

I installed it again. The difference was to take grub as bootloader and the network works!
