I have a Frugal install on the Dell LM p 133 On boot from Grub the 3com card is found and the light goes on solid. The ./network start eth0 Green Solid...later in the boot the dhcp call (background) is called and the light goes out and I can not get the card to connect. I have attempted to use DHCP and Static IP's using the netcardconfig utility.
Can I alter the grub commands to not have the script run the dhcp background call.
This device was working earlier today when run from the live CD can anyone suggest what I should check?Add the boot option nodhcp to grub menu.lst

The light on the nic is solid but no ip ... netcardconfig failed too. I'm not there yet.

So I'm thinking that I went down the wrong road.
I used lsmod from a terminal win sudo su and will type it across since it's not able to be pasted here perhaps a typo here and their
