Networking :: Internet Connection Sharing

Where can I find info on how to configure DSL to access the net through a M$ Windows box using the Internet Connection Sharing feature?
Check the XP help center for the Windows part.
For DSL make that Win machine your gateway (use a static ip..)

If you use the defaults in ICS, it should also enable DHCP, so it should be automatic on DSL machine's end.
if I were you, I'll use DSL as a gateway. Just grab iptables from MyDSL and manipulate it.

Anyway, like ^thehatsrule^ said, by default ICS from Winblows will connect your DSL automatically to the net.

That would be the ideal thing,,, but my ISP uses a shell to connect to the net, and it is only for Windows. I do have the ICS enabled and the two machines connected, but no ineternet. It possibly is the shell that my ISP provides that is preventing this. Don't laugh or think anything less of me, for it is the only service I have available at this location, but I'm forced to use PeoplePC dial-up service.
