Networking :: wifi card config not saved

What can I do to save my net config? DSL 4.0, Thinkpad T42 which was a nightmare to get any networking on at all, Orinoco Gold (prism2) wifi card...

Trial and error must've turned off the prompt to save settings. I'm using the nodhcp cheat code.

When I boot it's necessary to navigate system | net setup | iwconfig and enter details.

How can I automate this?

On 4.x there should be a myiwconfig in your home directory with your saved settings.
If you are using icons there will be a wireless icon that you can double click on.
