Networking :: wireless card configuration

hello every body

I have a laptop and I need to know how to configure the "802.11b/g" wireless card in DSl

it runs perfect in windows xp

but DSL doesn't configure it

even if I try the "wlanconfigure" it sayed

"no wireless card found" or some thing means the same

what should I do

I wuold appreciate it if some one help me  :(

first you need to know what card is in your laptop , reading the manual or seeing the pc system ( programs how everest home edition in windows can help)
second goes to wiki http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Verified_Wireless_Cards

and begin the work to configure the wireless card..

i encourage to the linux newbees...

i you have a external access point near; better that you begin with this one...( with a cord to the normal pc net card)

Thanks :)

but it doesn't work

because I download it to home/dsl folder

when I do the second step which is " /home/dmoerner/depmodscript.sh"

it sayes there is no such file directery or the same mean

I would appreciate it of you would explain in details :D

and by the way

this is the link to my wireless card configuration

http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Intel_Pro_Wireless_2200

That part is probably dependent on your home directory, such as /home/dsl/depmodscript.sh or it may be easier just to do ~/depmodscript.sh

You can also take a look at the .info file

Thanks :D

it works :D
