Networking :: And now asking about... fonts!!!

Hi again
back from lurker limbo to ask another question

where i can found font for dsl? how to install?
(i need it for a gtk-based app and need to be monospaced)

i found a package tar.gz with font on package list of dsl (not remember the url, but is the same page where i download all dsl package) but they don't work...
i did all info said (extracted then add a xset row on .xinitrc pointing at those font) but abiword does'nt show it... and more important, app does'nt load it :(

only monospaced one is a little... ugly >_< remind me of courier (non new)

so, where i can found font for dsl? how can i install?
can i install font from other linux distro (like centos or fedora) into dsl? how?
ty for help :)

Unix isn't like Windows where every application integrates with what's available on the system. The problem you're having with Abiword isn't one solved by adding an xset +fp  line to xinitrc. It requires a little more work. You can find help for specific applications on their own sites. For example:

- wrong section
- you could try to copy the font you want from your other machine, assuming it is a supported type

Really? just copying from another machine into dsl? where?
btw, i found a nice article here http://damnsmalllinux.org/f/topic-3-26-18569-0.html and this could give me some hope to solve this problem :)

If you'd bothered to read the link I provided, you'd see that you don't have to go through all those machinations just to use TTFs in Abiword.
