Networking :: Help with Firebird and glinks hacked

Ok so I am new to the hole linux world...
so here is my problem, I did a HD install and everything loads up except fire bird and glinks hacked. but I can access my ftp through bash.

any ideas on why firebird and glinks hacked wont open?

On some versions of DSL the FireFox icon is broken. Try starting it from the Fluxbox menu.

How are you trying to start glinks?

are you typing:

links -g

at the command line?

I was going starting them from the menu.
but when i do it through bash it says "could not initialize any graphics drivers. Tried the following drivers:
x:
not supported color depth found"

...it is an old pentium 2 with 64mb's of ram and an old compaq video card I will try the onboard video card maybe that will help

That fixed it.
