Networking :: D-Link DWL-510 Wireless PCI Adaptor



I have an old compaq that happily runs fedora core, and wlan over dwl-510 card, however things are unhappy when I try to start ndiswrapper in DSL, I get the following error in dmesg

ndiswrapper (NdisMAllocateSharedMemeory:997) Failed to allocate DMA coherent memory...

I am booting dsl toram

The box only has 128MB, I have little exp of using ramdisk and loopback mounts, I note that the ramdisk is 45MB and the /KNOPPIX is 119MB - is the likely cause of my problem ?
I have this card installed in the live cd with no problems.  Not sure what can be since I am a noob :)

my problem is different. onece I installl to HD it does not find the wireless hardware :(

using ndiswrapper -l returns

mrv8k51     hardware NOT present
rmrv8k51     hardware NOT present

I wonder if I he installed the wrong driver.....not sure what is rmrv8k51 ....
