Networking :: wpc11

Hello,
I am a newbie and I love the way DSL runs in my old laptop. However I have not been able to make my linksys WPC11 V4 work.
I have tried "ndiswrapper" and the windows XP driver.
When I do "ndiswrapper -l " it shows the hardware present but that is as far as I get.
Can anybody help me and tell me how to make it work.
