Networking :: changing the name of my PC

Apparently the name of my DSL-installation (on a usb-stick) is "box".

How can i change this?

I found (in /KNOPPIX/etc/hostname) the name: "box" but i cannot write changes to this file... (read only, even in emelfm i can't changes permissions/user)

this question comes up more then once.
maybe you could ask John or Roberts to implement someting like this in one of the next dsl versions: Hostname from bootoptions or remaster your dsl (like i did) to have this feature.
