Networking :: Networkcard not recognised

ahaa.. ops.  a lot to do then.
But is my driver REALLY missing on the DSL LIVE CD?
Is my networkcard: "Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller" really that uncommon, maybe the driver is there (I whant it to be there:)
Is there a way to check if my driver is included on the CD or not?

You see.. I suspect that my computer "overall" has a problem with my networkcard, even in Win XP there is problem onse a month.

So.. if the driver is infact included on the LIVE CD, then I know that the problem definently lies in MY Acer Computer, and not on the LIVE CD.

My understanding was that your driver is on the livecd and it is called b44.0

and you launch it by typing

modprobe b44

but I could be wrong.

I was under the impression that Broadcom chip drivers were closed source, at least when I was trying to get a Linksys card going.
Will ndiswrapper work with it?

FYI,

The Broadcom drivers have open source and are compiled into the DSL (version 0.9.3) kernel and are on the livecd.

Also, it appears that it is possible to get the wireless card working with ndiswrapper.

Here is some info on that:
