Networking :: Belkin F5D5020 trouble

I still haven't made any progress. Is there a way to see if any error messages are being generated. When ifconfig runs, the system freezes solid.

Anyone have an idea what I should try next?

IRQ3 is normally used by com2 , and may cause a conflict.
Is there a way to disable the comport in your bios temporarily?

Also, do you have another card to test this with,
so we're sure the pcmcia bus is working correctly with linux?

That's all that comes to mind at the moment..

Thanks, ke4nt. IRQ 3 was the culprit! The unused internal modem was sitting there. I moved it and all is well.

Now to figure out why grub thinks /dev/hda is not a block device.... but that's another issue entirely.
