Networking :: Starting ppp (ppoe) at start-up?

Could somebody please shed some light on this matter. I have tried to autostart my ppoe connection but I can't get it to work. I have tried to add /opt/ppp/ppp_on_boot to the bootlocal.sh -file, bnut no go. I also tried to add pon dsl-provider to the same file, but no go I searched the web and found some info, but it seems (like always) that there are some differences between different distros, so I'm asking you at this forum It can't be very complicated, but still seems to be that for me ;)
