Networking :: Realtek 8139 in Dell
This module should also be in Debian.
You will need to add the line for this to your /opt/bootlocal.sh file
You will also need to use the backup/restore function if you are running from livecd/frugal/poormans.
You can omit the "sudo" part because bootlocal.sh script file is already run with root superuser authority.
It may be possible to recover your partition with careful, well understoof use of a utility program called gpart but my guess is that you are hosed and need to start over again because pointers for critical system files are usually located at the beginning of a block device that contains an operating system like Windows.
I've got the 2400 up and running again thanks to The Ultimate BootCD for Windows (www.ubcd4win.com).
I used TestDisk and MBRFix to repair the MBR. Whew! Copied the couple files that I preferred not to lose in case there's now a flaw in the system and it craps out on me.
And thanks for the Debian/DSL tips!
