Networking :: networking newb needs help

hi everyone,

I'm totally clueless with networking and new to DSL, so bare with me here.

I got dsl going on a toshiba 430cdt laptop. I just recently aquired a xircom pcmcia 16bit card and am not sure what to do next. I ran the netconfig and the card seems to be detected. What should I do next?

We need more information before we can give you any meaningful help. Obviously you have to plug an ethernet cable into the xircom card and plug the other end into a network hub, switch or dsl modem which are in turn are connected to a network or the internet.
