Networking :: DSL thin client?

My motivation is using an old iOpener -- an 266MHz LCD computer with 16MB flash disk but no fan or hard drive.

I'd like to boot DSL, and load the image over the network (USB to ethernet connection).

Memory is not an issue (64 or 128MB upgrade is easy), but the flash size cannot be boosted.

I get the sense, looking at the iso image, that "boot" would be on the flash, and "KNOPPIX" would be downloaded.
