Networking :: belkin F5D7010 wireless pcmcia

I'm new to DSL, and i'm trying to get it to work with my wirless adapter for my notebook. when i try the wlanconfig, it tells me i don't have a wireless adapter installed. does anyone have any input into how i can get this working?
