Networking :: Cannot get prism-basedwireless usb adapter to work

I have a DWL-G122 usb adapter and it wasn't automatically detected by DSL 1.5.

I tried clicking on the ndiswrapper option in the right-click menu, but after i pointed it to the INF file on the d-link cd and pressed ok, the whole entire system froze. I had to manually power the PC off.

I am pretty sure it is prism-based. What all do I need to get it working? Or is it just a matter of configuring something already existing in DSL?

Might also try the Prism2 tool in the DSL control panel.

I already saw the first link, the other two do not mention the G122, just the 122.

I am not sure how to go about using the linux-wlan-ng driver built into DSL?

Edit: I tried editing the wlan-ng.conf in /etc/pcmcia, and tried adding an entry for the usb adapter using the manfid and vendor id supplied by dmesg, but I am unable to save the file because it tells me it's a read-only filesystem. :(

I am running DSL off a USB memory stick BTW.

I got my mn-510 working by using the prism2 option in the control panel.

You could also try "sudo modprobe prism2_usb"
