Networking :: DSL as firewall OS

I've tried searching the forums here, and I've read posts,
but I haven't found anything on this topic yet...
And yes, I know the first reply will be by someone who
will point me to about a hundred discussions on the topic... B-(

I'm using IPCOP as a firewall.  Great distro, very easy to use.

However, I would like to replace it with a very small distro that will allow me to do quick and dirty graphical web browsing without having to turn on another computer.  DSL would be perfect.

Yes, I know that adding X and other desktop goodies to a firewall machine will make it less secure.

So... is there a relatively easy, straightforward way to use DSL
as a firewall box, similar to IPCOP?

Yes with the iptables.dsl and rc.firewall.dsl

Minor tweaking then of the config file you can set it up with RED/Green/and Orange (or DMZ) subnets

It is also capable of doing internet sharing...look thru the config file or better yet go to the source for the documentation

Linux firewall software

P.S. SmoothWall Rulez!!
