Networking :: whois command

I was trying to use the 'whois' command and I keep getting 'command not found'. Is it not included in dsl, or am I simply using it wrong? The syntax I was using is 'whois somewebsite.com'. Thanks in advance?

Does anyone know how I could use this in dsl? We have been using it for one of my classes this semester and would love to be able to use it at home for homework. I would appreciate any help.

it doesn't seem to be included. Remember things are left out to save space. If you have it installed, you can apt-get whois.

Thanks for the reply. I have a frugal install so I havent been using apt, just mydsl's at this point.
