Networking :: wpasupplicant is not present !!!

I haven't see nor wpasupplicant binary,
nor /etc/init.d/wpasupplicant witch are present in Knoppix/Debian .
Is this a lapse of memory ?

Could you explain to me howto implement wpa encryption under DSL ?
