Networking :: known compatible 16bit pcmcia ethernet adapters?

is there a list of known compatible 16bit pcmcia ethernet adapters? I'm trying to get one for my antiquated laptop, thanks a lot.
pcmcia and cardbus cards differ in the fact the cardbus cards have a gold strip where the card plugs into the pins on the system (they run at different voltages)...standard pcmcia doesnt...

Find a standard (non-gold strip) and it should work...they are few and far between though

The old 3COM ones should work fine.

You could google for linux hardware support and see what cards are supported for the standard linux 2.4.31 kernel (used in DSL).

But my vote is for any old 16bit 3COM card.

I have an old xircom card running on my toshiba 430cdt, works fine.
