Laptops :: X config on Compaq Armada 77xx

I write this from a Compaq Armada 7800 with a DSL 2.0 install on a 320mb disk. I did the install on a Compaq Armada 77xx which has a 1024x768 display. On the 7800 the X config is fine, but on the 77xx I seem to be getting only about 800x600. The 77xx has S3V video, I believe. This 7800 has
something newer.

The DSL 2.0 is really surprisingly easy to get going.

Have you tried running the Xsetup script from the system you are running on?
If you right click on the desktop and go to System then X Setup, you may find that will fix it? You may need to restart X to get it to use the new settings though, I'm not sure. To restart X, right click on your desktop -> Window Manager -> Restart
