Laptops :: my laptop doesn't even try to boot from CD

I'm very new about linux. Twoday ago I downloaded Current.iso ,burned to my cd, restart, set bios to boot from my cdrom drive
and... nothing happen. My winXP just bootup like it it always.
Any one got a clue what did I do wrong or what should i do.

did you burn it as "data cd" or "cd image"

If you look at the cd and see a filename current.iso...you burned wrong

You should burn the cd as an "image" not as a data file
