Laptops :: cd boots fine. Frugal install doesn't

Hi Guys

I've been playing around with the live cd and decided a frugal install would be the way to go on my toshiba laptop. However When booting from the image stored on the harddisk the boot hangs just after detecting the cpu just before the cardmgr. When running from the CD it boots fine. I can only guess it is one of the boot codes in menu.lst but after trying many various combinations I can't figure it out. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

My apologies bad practice to answer your own question. I disabled pcmcia and now it works fine
