Laptops :: laptop modem

Hi everyone, I have a Thinkpad w/ internal modem Agere that is detected on ttyS14 and configured to dial up- setup on the controlpad. I see it connect but cannot surf the web or ping my ISP. What am I missing? Thanks for all the great post and info to get me this far.

Check your DNS settings.

Edard- thats for the tip! I went back in an changed a few settings and am writing this while logged on with DSL and a laptop modem :-) Not as fast but it works.
