Laptops :: Networking not working...

Ok, so here's what I've tried and what's not working now:

I tried to insmod e100 and e1000, and for both it says there's no such device. When I lsmod, niether are listed.

I also tried changing the IRQ's of the PCI slots to auto instead of 11, but it didnt make a difference.

And, when it starts up it detects a networking device on eth0, and tries to get an ip from DHCP but fails.
