Laptops :: older ndiswrapper with dsl 2.0 / linksys wpc54g

i can successfully run ndiswrapper with dsl1.5 and my linksys wpc54g card--however, dsl 2.0 crashes after about a minute, with the same card and ndiswrapper. elsewhere on the forum others have had similar problems.

i wanted to know if there is a way to install an older version of ndiswrapper (say 1.1) with dsl 2.0?

That is an excellent idea.

I always wondered if the ndiswrapper problems that people has with DSL 2.0/2.1 were caused by the newer linux kernel (2.4.31) or by the newer ndiswrapper version.

The only way to know for sure is for someone out there to try it.

It should be do-able.

ndiswrapper is kernel module specific, .e.g,
/lib/modules/2.4.26/misc/ndiswrapper.o

If you card worked with 1.5 then it should work with v2.2
