Laptops :: can't mount card reader slot



i can't mount a secureDigital card in the slot on my fujitsu laptop.

i stick the card in the slot and type dmesg at the prompt but don't see anything about the card.

thanks for any advice!
on the ubuntu board some people were talking about a specific sd slot and suggested:

so i searched for that wbsd driver under windows and came up with nothing ... fujitsu must use some other hardware.
