Laptops :: Anyone have luck with Sony Vaio PCG C1X?

It's a very cute 9 inch sub laptop, without floppy drive or optical drive. I have a USB floppy drive and try to install DSL. It hangs after the kernel is loaded. Anyone have any luck?

BTW, it currently runs Debian with 2.6.12 kernel. I'm wondering if it is possible to do a dist-upgrade to DSL?

Thanks.

More info please. Can your bios boot from a usb key? Do you have a usb key? Perhaps a usb cdrom drive?

No you can't dist-upgrade to a different distro.

The BIOS dosn't seem to be able to boot from a USB key :( I don't have a USB cdrom drive either. So I can only install whatever boots off a floppy. Guess I am stuck with sid.
I tried to boot failsafe and didn't succeed either. It stopped after "ACPI: IRQ9 SCI: Level Trigger."
